The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)Advanced-2015 will be conducted by the seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB)-2015. The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in the sixteen IITs and the Indian School of Mines (ISM). Candidates will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced-2015 on the basis of their JEE Main-2015 scores (conducted in April- both offline and online test takers) Candidates who score above a pre-determined All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Advanced-2015 will be offered admissions to the said IITs and ISM Dhanbad. Candidates have to meet the other eligibility criteria like being in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.

Question Paper Format: Every candidate must be aware of the question paper format of the JEE Advanced as it will help the candidate in strategiesing their preparation. Format of JEE Advanced-2015 is entirely different from the JEE Main and other engineering exams.

Plan Strategy

Don’t try a new topic : You have very less time now with less than one month for preparation, so don’t try to start a new topic. Starting a new topic may confuse you and it will hamper your revision of already prepared topics.

Optimise your revision : You should revise the notes written in the classrooms and go through the solutions of the problems you have solved earlier. You must try to revise and complete the most scoring topics of every subject first. In Physics, optics, thermodynamics, waves, modern physics and electromagnetism should be completed first. Then you should shift to mechanics. In mathematics you should have a firm command on calculus and coordinate geometry first and only then should you shift to probability, vectors, and complex numbers. In chemistry, physical chemistry should be mastered before inorganic and organic chapters. You must have gone through the previous analysis of JEE Advanced for the better idea of scoring topics.

Mock test your performance:

You can learn as many new concepts as possible but along with that you must test your level of preparation. Most of you thought of completing the syllabus before taking practice tests. You must appear on multiple mock tests (at least five to six) before appearing for the final exam. With every test, analyse your performance, the mistakes you've made and make a note of the chapters or subject areas you need to focus on.

Try to get a balanced score:

You have to ensure that you have a balanced score in each subject. It is found with a vast majority of students that their two subjects are strong and one is relatively average and to secure a good rank you have to be equally proficient in all the three subject.Lastly,

before the exam, students should relax their minds.
