JEE is one of the toughest and prestigious exams of India. Around 1.3 million students appeared in JEE MAIN – 2014. Cracking this exam is always very tedious for the students, but if an engineering aspirant follows the simple tips and strategies given below, he/she can crack the exam with ease.
THINK: If you want to be an engineer then you have to spend time, thinking about becoming an engineer. It is so because engineering is a creative enterprise, one requires intense imagination and sometimes lots of sweat for becoming an engineer. You have to learn and adopt the imaginative sense and creative nature of engineering.
CHOOSE: You must choose a coaching (not the famous one but a good one) which helps you in the “PREPARATION” of JEE MAIN and JEE ADVANCED. The mentors of your coaching will also GUIDE you during your preparation.
AVOID: A very important tip is that, you have to aside all the activities which may waste your time or hamper your studies like: unnecessary use of social networking channels, video or mobile gaming and involvement in senseless chats (either with friends or with family members) etc.
TAKE CARE: Avoiding the activities, doesn’t include outdoor sports (Specifically; No indoor sports). Outdoor sports help you in relaxing your mind and keep you fit. It gives you a much needed break and energizes you to continue your studies
ENROLL: You should enroll yourself in a mock test series, one or two months before the exam. These mock tests will help you in understanding the paper pattern, question types of the exam and level of your preparation.
STUDY PLAN: Except the above mentioned things you need a proper study plan as well. You can make your study plan by taking care of following simple things.
-Manage your time between the studies of your class 12th as well class for JEE preparation.
-Always start your preparation from learning the very basic concepts (we generally ignore them) of each and every subject by making notes.
-Choose the appropriate & precise study material for preparation.
-You can’t study the every book available (even nobody can), so study according to the syllabus. Moreover costly study material is not a guarantee of success.
-Always have a period of one or two months for revision. Your notes will help you a lot in revising every subject in a quick way.
JEE MAIN: Exam Paper Pattern:
-This paper will be conducted in both offline (Pen & Paper based) and online modes.
-The duration of the paper will be of three (3) hours.
-The questions will be of objective type with equal number of questions (30) in each subject.
-For all the questions out of the four questions only one will be correct.
-For each incorrectly marked response, one fourth (1/4) of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted. Leaving a question blank or unmarked will mean no deduction of marks.
Along with all these tips and strategies, an aspirant must keep in mind that the hard work is the only key to success. You have to work very hard to realize your success.
