मनमीत के सुसाइड पर बोलीं निया शर्मा, 'मेरे कई दोस्तों ने कई महीनों से किराया और EMI नहीं दी है'

नई दिल्ली, जेएनएन। टीवी एक्टर मनमीत ग्रेवाल के आत्महत्या करने की खबर के बाद से टीवी इंडस्ट्री में दुख का माहौल है। वहीं, मनमीत के आत्महत्या के कारण ने भी लोगों को ज्यादा सोचने पर मजबूर कर दिया है। दरअसल, बताया जा रहा है कि मनमीत आर्थिक संकट से गुजर रहे थे और जब से लॉकडाउन लगा है और शूटिंग बंद है, तब से उनके सामने काफी दिक्कतें आ रही थीं। अब टीवी एक्ट्रेस निया शर्मा ने मनमीत की मौत पर दुख व्यक्त किया है और शो के मेकर्स से आर्टिस्ट से बकाया पैसे देने और मदद करने के लिए कहा है।

निया शर्मा ने मनमीत की मृत्यु के बाद इंस्टाग्राम पर एक नोट लिखा है और मेकर्स से अपील की है। उन्होंने मनमीत की एक फोटो शेयर की है, जिसपर लिखा है- लॉकडाउन में काम ना मिलने पर मनमीत ग्रेवाल ने आत्महत्या कर ली है और लोग उनकी मदद के लिए इसलिए नहीं आए, क्योंकि उन्हें लगा कि एक्टर को कोरोना वायरस है। इसके साथ ही निया शर्मा ने अपने पोस्ट में लिखा- मुझे उन्हें नहीं जानती थी, लेकिन आर्थिक संकट की वजह से आत्महत्या की खबर हैरान कर देने वाली है। (समाचार में हर रोज दिख रही प्रवासियों की दुर्दशा का उल्लेख करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है)

Not that I knew him, but the news about his suicide owing to his financial crisis is disturbing! (Needless to mention Migrants’ plight in the news everyday) Now, was he the only one going through it? No! Every living being is. I know many of my friends(Actors) that haven’t been paid since last year or more with rents and EMIs mounting, work this year clearly being halted indefinitely, everyone’s losing patience somewhere. I know, Producers have bigger risks and problems to deal with .. no clarity on the industry resuming Work any soon ,but still keeping up with the salaries of their huge staff , I totally respect that! Infact would thank them for generating thousands of jobs for us through the years, I could make a better life here. On that note, I’d just like to make a humble request on behalf of my fellow actors/ friends, other daily wagers that their dues be paid asap especially at a time when they need it the most so that we’re not waking up to more such Suicide Stories a few days or a month later!! I wish to be financially so strong one day that I myself could help people around. I rest my note.

इसके आगे एक्ट्रेस ने कहा, ' मैं अपने कई दोस्तों (एक्टर्स) को जानती हूं, जिन्हें पिछले साल या उससे अधिक समय से किराए और ईएमआई का भुगतान नहीं किया है। इस साल स्पष्ट रूप से काम लंबे समय तक प्रभावित हो रहा है, हर किसी का धैर्य कहीं खो रहा है। मैं जानती हूं, निर्माताओं के लिए भी जोखिम है और कई दिक्कते हैं। कोई स्पष्टता नहीं है कि इंडस्ट्री जल्द ही काम पर लौट जाएगी, लेकिन स्टाफ को सैलरी दी जानी चाहिए, यह मेरी विनती है।'

इसके आगे में उन्होंने लगातार अपनी बात रखी और कोरोना वायरस से प्रभावित हुए फिल्म और टीवी इंडस्ट्री के संकट को लेकर अपनी चिंता व्यक्त की। बता दें कि हाल ही में मनमीत ने अपने घर पर पंखे से लटकर अपनी जान दे दी। बताया जा रहा है कि वो इस महीने के घर किराए देने को लेकर परेशान था और उन पर काफी कर्ज भी था। हालांकि, जब उन्होंने खुद को फांसी लगाई तो उनकी पत्नी ने उन्हें रोकने के प्रयास किया, लेकिन कोई मदद के लिए नहीं आया।
