अनु मलिक और सोनी टीवी की अब स्मृति इरानी से शिकायत की सोना महापात्रा ने, महिला उत्पीड़न से जुड़ा हुआ मामला

नई दिल्ली, जेएनएनl गायिका सोना महापात्रा ने स्मृति ईरानी से संगीतकार अनु मलिक पर लग रहे यौन दुराचार के मामले की जांच करने का आग्रह किया है। केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री स्मृति ईरानी ने मंगलवार को कहा है कि सरकार ने यौन दुराचारियों का डेटा बनाना शुरू कर दिया हैंl

अनु मलिक पर कई महिलाओं के साथ यौन दुराचार का आरोप लग रहा है और सिंगिंग रियलिटी शो इंडियन आइडल के जज के तौर पर उनकी वापसी को लेकर सोनी टीवी के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन भी हो रहे है। सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में सोना महापात्रा ने स्मृति ईरानी के नाम एक पत्र भी लिखा।

Dear Smriti Irani’ji, I sincerely thank you for this initiative of databasing sxual offenders in India but what about organisations who hire them despite this. Case in point, @sonytvofficial ignoring the testimonies of multiple women against one, Anu Malik & making him a judge for youngsters on National TV for Indian Idol. Do so many voices telling a common story of sxual harassment & assault not matter? Shouldn’t Sony TV be held responsible in some way? Our culture celebrates the victory of good over evil in every festival, Durga Puja, Maheshaswara Mardini, Ram & Ravan in Dussehra, Bhakt Prahlad & Holika in Holi & innumerable other such legends. It sends a symbolic message to society & fills us with positive energy & hope. I understand that change has to be driven at the grass roots level in a systemic manner Ma’am, yet this ‘normalisation’ of sxual assault by platforming, enabling & celebrating a serial sxual offender like Anu Malik sends out a very dangerous message to the country & the perverts that lurk within our society. That they have a free pass, can get away similarly & just because no one has recorded their misdemeanours. I’d request you to please look into this gross violation of children’s ‘& women’s voices & dignity. However, Sona Mohapatra took him apart in a crisp and hard-hitting reply Recently, singer Sona Mohapatra wrote a heartfelt letter questioning Sony Entertainment Television for reinstating Anu Malik as a judge on their show Indian Idol, even though multiple women have accused him of sxual harassment. Following this, last week, news broke that Anu Malik may not be brought back as a judge after all. Instead of apologising however, Anu Malik chose to write an open letter himself. Denying the accusations against him, he attacked the women who have accused him, asking why they are bringing up these allegations now. He also painted himself as a victim, who is in danger of losing his only source of livelihood, while painting the women as the offenders who have caused harm to the mental health of his family and himself. Anyone who has survived abuse, or anyone aware enough, can tell you that this is the classic, gaslighting DARVO defence, which most abusers use when confronted. Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. This is not the first time that abusers have pretended to be the victim either. An obvious and memorable example is the high-profile case of Brett Kavanaugh versus Christine Blasey Ford. Kavanaugh actually sobbed through the proceedings, while claiming that his life and career had been destroyed by the allegations against him. Abusers use DARVO, because unfortunately, it works. सोना महापात्रा ने आगे लिखा, 'हमारी संस्कृति हर त्योहार में बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत का जश्न मनाती है, दुर्गा पूजा, महिषासुर मर्दिनी, दशहरे में राम और रावण, भक्त प्रह्लाद और होलिका होली में और इस तरह के अन्य उत्सवों में यह चलता है। यह समाज को एक प्रतीकात्मक संदेश भेजते है और हमें सकारात्मक ऊर्जा और आशा से भर देते है। मैं समझती हूं कि बदलाव जमीनी स्तर से होना चाहिएl'

सोना महापात्रा ने आगे यह भी लिखा, 'अनु मलिक जैसे सीरियल यौन अपराधी को प्लेटफ़ॉर्म देने, आगे बढ़ाने और जश्न मनाने से यौन उत्पीड़न का 'सामान्यीकरण' होता है, जो कि बहुत खतरनाक संदेश देता हैl यह उन्हें बढ़ावा भी देता कि उनके पास कुछ भी करने की स्वतंत्रता है सिर्फ इसलिए कि किसी ने उनके खिलाफ आवाज नहीं उठाई है। मैं आपसे अनुरोध करती हूं कि कृपया बच्चों और महिलाओं की दबी हुई आवाज़ और गरिमा के इस घोर उल्लंघन के बारे में जांच करें।’

सोनी टीवी और अनु मलिक के खिलाफ सोना की सोशल मीडिया लड़ाई को नेहा मलिक, श्वेता पंडित और अन्य ने समर्थन किया है। अनु मलिक ने हाल के एक बयान में इन सभी बातों को गलत बताया और कहा कि इन आरोपों से उनकी प्रतिष्ठा को नुकसान पहुंचा है। उन्होंने कानूनी कार्रवाई करने का भी संकेत दिया था।
